Praise God

Praise God from whom all our blessings flow. Chalkboard stamping is very popular at the present time. This quad easel card is being considered for Our Daily Bread Shining Light Challenge  for black and white colors and the Word Art Wednesday challenge for anything goes this week. First picture shows the card closed and then a series of pictures shows each side of the quad easel card. What do you think of the card?

Later Sk8r

For the Color my Heart challenge this week, the colors are those featured in the Close to my Heart Later Sk8r paper packet. It is advertised in the idea book and catalog as paper and colors that work great with photos of your favorite boys. I do not have any boys in my circle of friends or dogs. So…. for the open house I had for my customers in late January for the new catalog I had several different items and ideas for this paper packet that I would like to share with you to show how versatile this paper and colors can be.  Here are several  ideas for this paper. What do you think?

The items include a card box, treat tubes, pocket size tissue box made from the match box pattern in the Cricut Artiste cartridge and two gift cards. What do you think of these ideas? Below are pictures of details of the individual items.

Very Vintage

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity the challenge is very vintage. The challenge is to share a vintage themed or vintage style project. This project is being dedicated to a friend of Nicole Noce who has been helping me with several questions, ideas and requests for feedback on a number of paper crafting related topics. I thought of her often as I was creating the tags for the very vintage challenge. I created three tags using the Stampin Up Feeling Sentimental stamp set. The first picture show the three tags together. Then you find three additional pictures with a close up of each card. These three tags are being entered in Dutch Dare # 205 Tag It.

Polka Dots And Strips

Polka Dots and/or Stripes!

There is a new challenge called Cards in Envy that started up this month. The challenge is to create a card with polka dots and/or strips that  must fit in an envelope for regular first class postage (no extra stamps allowed for mailing of these cards–if extra postage would be required or hand cancelling then it’s not a Card in Envy card).  The challenge design team has requested to please save the lumpy, bumpy embellishments on cards for a different challenge.  The card should use nothing thicker than a shirt button for the card you link to the challenge. I did it!

Be Still

When I first got the new Close to my Heart Spring / Summer 2013 Idea Book and Catalog I instantly was very pleased to see the stamp “Be still and Know that I am God” This verse can be found in Psalm 46:10. It is one of my favorite verses on hectic and stressful days to know that God is everywhere and for me to slow down and take a minute to breathe before tackling the next project of the day. This week at Heart 2 Heart the challenge is to make a clean and simple card. The flowers are made with the Close to my Heart Hello Blooms set with a button in the middle. What do you think of this card with Close to my Heart stamp Be Still?

Stamps:  Close to my Heart A1141 Be Still and C1540 Hello Blooms
Paper: Close to my Heart White Daisy and Outdoor Denim
Ink: Close to my Heart Exclusive Ink Outdoor Denim
Accessories: Close to my Heart Silver Glitter Gel and two Outdoor Denim buttons (retired) from a past Mini Medley Accent Set

Thanks very much for stopping by! Take a few minutes today and look around to see God’s love and creation everywhere. What do you think of this clean and simple card?
