Cardabilities and Heart 2 Heart

This time at cardabilities there was a great sketch to work with that was very amendable to including a small gift book mark with the card. I made the card using CTMH Buzz and Bumble paper and the workshop on the go stamp set for the flowers and bee. The vines are cut out using the Cricut Artiste cartridge. I included a bee in the middle of the large flower. The bookmark is removable and represents the middle of the design. I have included two pictures of the card. The first picture of the card is the entire card with the book mark. The second card shows the book mark removed and what remains is still a beautiful card and a book mark to place in your favorite book you are reading. This week at the Heart 2 Heart challenge the theme is tool time. There were several suggestions on the site for tools mostly related to father’s day. My father died in 2008 and was a very avid reader. Two days before he died I will never forget that he was telling me about the book he was reading a biography of Albert Einsten! He was a physicist by trade and was always telling you how things worked. So my tool is in memory of my father in the form a book mark which is necessary to mark your book when you are reading it and have to stop reading until another time! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by! I greatly appreciate your feedback and comments. Have a blessed day and make sure to read a book!

Oh how I love this! What a clever idea to make the pull out bookmark. Beautiful embellishments with the flower cluster and leaves. Don’t you just love our cartridges for that? Thanks for linking up to Cardabilities.

Fabulous card Pam! And very creative. It would look great in any of the fun new papers too. Flowers seem especially good on this card.. I would love to make this card and then give it to someone I am gifting with a book!

Beautiful card – and the story about your father is precious. What a wonderful way to remember him this Father’s Day.
