Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge – Huntington Style!

I love the upcoming sketches for Atlantic Hearts Challenge for the reminder of July and the month of August. It was an awesome opportunity to work with one of the new Close to my Heart paper packs called Huntington. The sketches are wonderful and versatile to the lovely fall calls in the Huntington paper. I am not trying to rush the seasons but a week of 95 plus degrees does make me wish for just a tad cooler nights for sleeping! The days are definitely getting shorter. Just a few weeks ago I could sit outside to well past 9 pm and now I have to go inside because of darkness by 8:30 pm. Summer flies by very quickly! For these cards I made a lovely card box that I will show in the first picture. I decorated the box with card stock and Huntington paper. For the bling and flowers on the top of the box I used a variety of CTMH paper flowers and Mini Medley packages of various embellishments. The inspiration for this card box cover came from a card in the new CTMH Fall/Winter 2013 idea book and catalog. The cards are stamped using several new stamp sets from the new CTMH fall/winter 2013 catalog. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in a catalog and the specific stamp sets used for these cards!

What do you think of the card box? The card box holds a total of six cards and decorated envelopes. As with all my cards these days, I have decorated the inside of each card as well as the front of the card. I have included a picture of the front of each card for each Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge with the appropriate date in the entry. Please make sure to visit the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge and join in the fun each week with the wonderful sketches provided! The link can be located under my design team tab on this blog.

What do you think of the individual card?

Thank you so very much for stopping by! I greatly appreciate your feedback and comments about the individual cards. This was a great box of cards to make. To my non crafty friends, yes this box of cards and box are available for sale. Just contact me for all the details or see it in person at my fall craft show! Always be grateful everything you have!

Color My Heart – Blush, Sorbet, Gypsy

When I first read the colors this time for Color My Heart I could not image how the colors fit together. I encourage you to try your hand at the Color My Heart challenge as it makes you think outside the box. I used the CTMH Follow Your Heart stamp set for this card and combined the colors of the swirls. I used CTMH gypsy for the saying and added sorbet colored wooden trinkets to the card along with some sparkle bling. What do you think of the card?

Curtain Call – Feeling Nautical

Curtain Call is a new card challenge and their first inspiration challenge is Feeling Nautical. I used CTMH Tommy paper and one of the stamps from the CTMH Tommy Workshop on the Go. The card is nautical but also encouraging the new Curtain Call challenge to continue to follow their dreams! I included a close up picture of the card that shows the details included.

Stamps:  CTMH G1058 Workshops on the Go Tommy Scrap booking Kit
Paper: CTMH Tommy Paper Packet
Ink: CTMH Honey and Outdoor Denim
Accessories:  CTMH For Always Assortment and CTMH Tommy Assortment

Heart 2 Heart – Water, Water Everywhere

When I saw that I was assigned to the water, water everywhere as part of the Heart 2 Heart challenge I had to chuckle because in upstate western new york we have been breaking all kinds of rain records. As I am preparing this entry for posting it yet again is getting ready to rain! The problem with the rain is it comes down by the inches not tenths of an inch in a very short period of time! India the greyhound and Gina the whippet like all the rain when it forms a pond in the backyard for them to play in and then return to the door full of mud! The first picture shows the front of the card and the second picture shows the inside of the card. Enjoy!

I enjoy you to join us each week at the Color My Heart challenge and see what you can come up with the weekly color combinations. This card uses the CTMH Dream Big stamp set and includes a little piece of burlap ribbon, CTMH seam color ready ribbon and a bling button tied with CTMH olive baker’s twine. The first picture shows the outside of the card and the second picture shows the inside of the color. Enjoy! What do you think?

Rose Blossom Garden – G key

The CTMH July Stamp of the Month is Sweet Life. I used this stamp set with the Cricut Artiste G key to make little gift folders for my best customers who will be coming to the new catalog preview in a few weeks. I know the folder on the G key is for placing gift cards. I just modified it’s use and decorated it using the CTMH July stamp of the month. I used slate ink to repeatedly stamp the sweet as a cherry sentiment on the slate card stock with slate ink. I stamped the cherry with slate ink and used the CTMH water color pencils to color the stamp image. I encourage you to try these wonderful pencils to achieve wonderful shading. I finished the front of the holder with a medallion from the g key and a chipboard piece I found in my cleaning out drawers. The chevron ribbon is the new CTMH ribbon from the Autumn/Winter CTMH catalog. Inside I stamped the cherry image in slate ink and placed the sentiment over the image in ruby ink. When the individual opens the holder they find the beautiful sentiment centered on slate and ruby card stock. When they turn it over I tucked a CTMH mini thank you stamp in the gift card slot! What do you think? It was fun and easy to make!

Heart 2 Heart – We all Scream for Ice Cream

July 21 is National Ice Cream Day! You can be sure that India greyhound and Gina whippet will be enjoying ice cream from a dish at their favorite local ice cream store. There is even one ice cream store that gives the girls FREE dishes of ice cream. I have attached a few pictures of them enjoying past ice cream!DSC00288 DSC00291

I had to make a card for National Ice Cream Day and it uses retired CTMH paper and stamp set! I have included two pictures. One of the front of the card and one of the inside of the card. What do you think?

Color My Heart Bamboo, Desert Sand and Choice of One Color

This week at Color my Heart the colors are Bamboo, Desert Sand, and one additional color which I selected as Sorbet. This was a fun shine card to make. We have had a lot of rain to the tune of numerous inches since the beginning of the month. One day we had 3 1/2 inches in a twelve hour period.  I used the CTMH stamp from the CTMH WOTG Surf’s Up Scrapbooking Kit and CTM Surf’s Up embellishments. What do you think of the card?

Have a sun filled day! Please take an opportunity to participate in the Color my Heart challenge. The link is located on the Design Teams tab of my blog.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch – July 22

Summer is enjoyable every day and I am always thinking about people and the various adventures that can occur in the warm weather. I made this thinking of you using the sketch provided. I encourage you to check out this wonderful sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch. The link can be found in the design team tab at the top of the page. Join in on the fun each week.

There are two pictures of the card. The first is the front of the card using some CTMH Flirty paper that I discovered when cleaning out my craft room to make room for all the new product that the Fed Ex gentleman has been dropping off the last few weeks. I used pearls and a clear flower button from CTMH accessories. The second picture shows the inside of the card. What do you think?

Atlantic Hearts Sketch – July 15

I encourage everyone to come have some fun with the Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge. With upcoming vacations the post for July 15 is a few days early.

I enjoyed working with the sketch. I used the CTMH June stamp of the month and used CTMH alcohol markers to color the flower. The flower in the middle is from the CTMH As Always Assortment. I added a little CTMH baker’s twine for the ribbon on the sketch. I hope you like the card. The second picture is the decorated inside of the card.
