Graphic 45 Halloween In Wonderland #G45 September Challenge

About a month ago had a wonderful day with a girlfriend shopping in a locally owned paper crafting store about an hour from our home! We had a blast and came home with many goodies including the Tim Holtz Village dies. OMG. I have had so much fun playing with these dies and have made several buildings now including a five building Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland project that I believe is perfect for the #G45 Fall Decor September Challenge. What do you think of my Halloween in Wonderland village? Which building is your favorite? Alice, Rabbits, Tea Party, Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter?

Die cut with coordinating dies and color with Chameleon Pens in Royal Blue, Bisque, Hot Cocca, Spring Meadow, Warm Sunset and Seville Orange. Assemble the colored bear, small ultrafine magnet, and black cardstock together and adhere securely to make the tic-tac-toe pieces. Use 3 D Crystal Lacquer on honey pots and tea cups.

Cut from the Beary Fun Retreat Collection paper four 12″ strips of the fall border. Take one piece of 4″ x 12″ black cardstock. Score on 4″ side at 1 7/8″ and 2 1/8″, this will be your hinge. Glue two pieces of black 12 x 12″ cardstock together with the hinge piece to allow the tic-tac-toe board to easily open and close to reveal the two page layout.

On the first page glue one 12″ x 12″ Beary Fun Retreat paper on the 12″ x 12″ black cardstock. Glue the 4, 12″ borders down in an arrangement that makes the tic-tac-toe board.

On page two, lay the magnets down to line up with each square on the first page so that the bears will easily stick when playing tic-tac-toe, once in place adhere magnets using dries clear glue. Adhere a piece of 12″ x 12″ brown cardstock down on top of the black cardstock for backgroud on page two and page three. Cut a total of 90, 1″ x 1″ squares from the Beary Fun Retreat paper. Cut five images from the Beary Fun Retreat paper. I also cut a mat fron designer paper for my square panels. You can use you own photos if you prefer. Complete layout for page two and page three according to provided illustration adhereing using dries clear glue.

Team Tuesday Holiday Gift Idea # 9 Heartfelt Creations Curvy Wreath

This curvy wreath is gorgeous, easy and fun project that can easily be completed in one evening for a quick  holiday or hostess gift. Here are the directions to make this tremendous wreath.

  1. Take a 12 inch foam wreath and lay it flat on your work surface.
  2. Take about 24 inches – 36 inches of ribbon and tie it around the wreath.
  3. Select a minimum of 12 coordinating pattern papers. I used four sheets of three different Heartfelt Creations Festive Holly paper for this wreath. Take your patterned papers and using a paper trimmer cut all 12 sheets of patterned paper into 1/2 inch by 12 inch strips.
  4. Curl all your papers with a bone folder. Take your bone folder in one hand and pull it along the length of the paper with your other hand just as you would when curling ribbon. Repeat for all strips of paper.
  5. Add your curled strips to your wreath in any order that is pleasing to you. Simply push a dressmakers pin through the center of each strip and push it into the wreath. Keep adding strips to the wreath alternating the strips so that the mix includes all the aptterns and color. Work your way around the wreath until completed!
