Close to my Heart Wanderful Second Project

I used the Close to my Heart Journaling Box to make the suitcase that holds to small mini albums!! I designed these mini albums and if I receive enough requests I will do a pictorial tutorial!. It was fun to just play with the paper packet and picture my life cards in making this suitcase and two mini albums. What do you think? This entry is picture intensive.

Close to my Heart Wanderful

This Basket Album made with Close to my Heart Wanderful paper, complements and assortment can file or catalog varies things and can be used for many different occasions. This album style would be great as a simple home decor piece displaying many photos, used to file recipe cards, or to catalog addresses.  There are ten top loading pocket pages that have smaller pocket on the front. This album project has plenty of room to hold photos, tags, and a lot of embellishments with a photo capacity of 225 (4 x 6). I found this wonderful video about this album. This entry is photo intensive of the project I made. I added Wanderful picture my life cards for lots of journaling! I placed Wanderful stickers on the slide out cards.

Close to my Heart Chalk It Up

When I first saw the Close to my Heart Chalk It Up Assortment I immediately thought of doing a little three inch by three inch micro interactive mini album. The meander (or maze) book gets its name from the way the paper is cut and folded to make the pages. This size book is great for scrap booking a single event! This blog entry is picture intensive to show all the pages of the micro mini album. Additionaly I have included written directions and a short video. Please let me know if this information is helpful to you.

Instructions:
Take the 12 x 12 piece of scrapbook cardstock and mark at 3, 6 and 9 inches. Score and fold accordion style. Turn 90 degrees and do the same in the other direction. Your page should now be divided into 16 portions.

To create the pages you need to take a cutting knife and straight edge and cut from left to right across the first and third folds only as far as the last portion of the cardstock. Then cut the middle fold starting from right to left this time, but only as far as the last portion again.

Now to fold all the pages together. Starting at the top left corner fold each page accordion style until you get to the end, where you fold all of the folded pages underneath the first one on the second row. Keep folding accordion style and once again fold all of the pages underneath the first page on the following row. Repeat until you have all of the pages folded together.

Next take the smaller, 6-1/2 x 3″ cardstock and mark at 3″ and 3-1/2″ and score. Fold along the scored lines to make a cover for the book.

Adhere the front and back pages into the cover.

Now you are ready to decorate your mini scrapbook.

Scaredy Cat Wreath

I made this wreath with Close to my Heart Scaredy Cat paper, a 10 inch form wreath, 1 1/2 inch wide 12 inch long pieces of paper and 1 1/2 inch yo-yo and 1/2 inch yo yo tear strip from the paper. What do you think?
