Take the 5 inches by 12 inches white cardstock piece and glue one of the 5 inches x 6 3/4 inches chipboard to the top of the 5 inches by 6 3/4 inches section. Place one of the 2 1/2 by 5 inches chipboard pieces just to the right of the 6 3/4 inches score line and the second chipboard piece to the right of the 9 1/4 inches score line on the white cardstock. Place corresponding size white cardstock pieces on the other side of the chipboard. Take the second 5 inches by 6 3/4 inches chipboard and place white cardstock on both sides of it. Taking the 5 x 12 inches piece of chipboard covered with white cardstock and the 5 inches by 6 3/4 inches chipboard covered with white cardstock glue the pieces together to form the easel base. See picture for location of chipboard pieces.

Square shadow box flip fold page: Using the Cut Create Mat dies cut frame piece from the designer paper and cut a corresponding size picture for the shadow box frame. Fold on score line and glue this piece of white cardstock to the back of the shadow frame and the top of the white cardstock on the 5 inches by 6 3/4 inches flip frame made in previous step. This will allow the shadow box to flip up as the first page of the flip fold easel card. Cut a piece of white cardstock 5 inches by 6 inches. Score at 1/2 inch and 5 1/2 inches on 6 inch side of cardstock. Fold on score lines and glue to the back of the shadow box frame to form a pocket. Cut a piece of 4 1/2 inches and 4 1/2 inches white cardstock. Cut two 4 inches by 4 inches pictures and glue to either side of the cardstock. Super Special Saturday Gift Idea # 12 Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise Gift Bag and Card Set

This Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise card set with bag uses punches and dies. It  is a super special project that can easily be completed in one evening for a quick  holiday or hostess gift. Here are the directions to make this super gift.

BAG

  1. Cut a piece of white card stock 8 inches by 4 inches. Score on the 8 inches side at 1 inch and 7 inches. On the 4 inches side score at 1 inch and 3 inches. On the 8 inches side snip the score lines inward just to the opposing score lines creating four small short tabs.
  2. Crease all the score lines in mountain folds and glue with strong adhesive on the outer edges of the four short tabs. Fold the long sides upward and then fold the short ends upward. Tuck the small short tabs to the inside and attach to the long sides. It will create a shallow box which becomes the bottom for the bag. Place strong adhesive of choice around the outer sides of the box along the lower edge on all four sides.
  3. Cut  an 8 inches by 6 inches and 9 inches by 6 inches Heartfelt Creations designer paper. It is important that they are the same pattern because these papers form the bag. Beginning at one end of the box with the 8 inches by 6 inches paper, place the long edge over the tape in alignment with the box’s lower edge. Continue wrapping the paper around the long side of the box, making sure the lower edges stay aligned and finish at the opposite short side.
  4. Place strong adhesive on the inside short ends of the remaining paper. Overlapping the end of the first paper, press one long edge of the paper onto the adhesive on the box and continue around the box aligning the lower ends. Press this paper over the ends of the first paper which will create the bag.

HANDLES

  1. Cut two 1 1/2 inches by 11 inches paper and score each one in half lengthwise. Fold the strips and secure with strong adhesive along the long edges. Use a bone folder to gently curl the strips.
  2. Use a strong adhesive to 1 inch of both ends of a strip to the bag front, placing them about 3 inches apart, centered on the front and back of the bag.
  3. Cut two 1 inch by 8 inches designer paper to secure around the upper edge of the bag and cover the handle ends for a more finsihed look.
  4. Cut a tag out of the designer paper, punch a hole in the top of the tag and tie on the front handle with ribbon.
