Stampin Up Demonstrator Announcement

Live a dream! Over the past several months my paper crafting has expanded into numerous directions with a wide variety of different products and product lines. I love all the possibilities this exploration has afforded me in the way of beautiful projects. During this exploration period I did not post on the blog as I wanted to have an opportunity to explore and play with different product lines. At this time I have made some changes to allow me more freedom to continue the exploration and to share my creative time and time with friends in making fun projects. I resigned as a Close to my Heart independent consultant and have become a Stampin Up demonstrator as the product line is better suited to my current paper crafting needs. As a result I have to start a brand new mailing list! Those interested in seeing all my new and exciting projects please sign up to receive blog entries! My Close to my Heart mailing list is no longer active. Thanks for your cooperation during this transition.

What is Happening?

DSC04570

I have had a wonderful four months since I last posted a project in the blog. Life changes and the new craft room in my new home have produced a huge wealth of paper crafting products that have sold faster than I can even get pictures or videos made to include in the blog. I have made over 10 mini albums, 200 cards and numerous 3d paper crafting products. I have been teaching myself numerous techniques and made a LOT of notes of measurements for many projects to more than fill a life time of retirement days. I am looking forward to my retirement from full time teaching January 6, 2016. I am going to continue to teach 9 hours a week and have even more time available for my numerous loves! Stay tuned for some of my recent projects as I am trying to catch photos at least before they fly out the front door to someone’s home! I have LOTS to share and teach if you are interested in learning through my individual classes of your choice with a wide variety of new product lines I have discovered in recent months. LOVE all the different product lines and ability to create using a enormous amount of materials that are available to use.

More of a Good Thing

When it comes to chocolate cake and twine, being “extra thick” is always a good thing. Whether it is adding an earthly touch to a card or tying off a bag of goodies with flair, the Close to my Heart twine knows how to keep it together in the card above on the right. Give it a try on your next project!

Close to my Heart Birthday Favor Ideas

Here we have a handful of ideas for favors that you can make quickly, but beautifully, with your Close To My Heart products. Have a blast experimenting with what favor is right for your party and then pick one to make!

Party Favor from a Designer Creations Paper Bag

Tuck your treat into a Designer Creations paper bag. Simply fold over the top and secure it with a mini staple, a mini clothespin, or a touch of adhesive, and you’ll have a secure package. Add a decorative touch with a Cricut® cut and a few of your favorite embellishments.

Party Favor from a Cut Above™ Birthday Treat Bag Kit

Enjoy the simplicity of a Cut Above™ treat bag kit. The kit comes with 10 different bags and all the necessary trimmings, so most of the work is already done for you; all you need to do is assemble it! You can personalize the bag with a few additional embellishments. Here we’ve switched things up by using the color-coordinated sticker from the kit as an accessory for the tag instead of its intended use as a candy topper.

Party Favor from a Cricut® Artiste Box

Small or large, a Cricut® Artiste box is always a hit with friends and family! Wrap up a small treat in good style with a pillow box like this, or any of the other great boxes available on the cartridge. Decorate your little package to your liking until you’re sure you’ll delight your recipients. When cut from the Confetti Wishes papers, the boxes are already so cute you hardly need to add anything more!
