Sunday is Resurrection Day for our Lord and Savior. God’s grace is so good to us every day. I made this card for consideration this week for Our Daily Bread, Twist of Faith, Word Art Wednesday and The Squirrel and The Fox in honor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Color My Heart – Claire Colors! and Sweet Stampin Challenge – Oh so Girly

The CTMH Claire paper packet can create beautiful feminine layouts, cards and other projects. I love the paper and colors and have made several projects with these colors. When I was a little girl I loved to play with paper dolls and have my grandmother and mother help me cut them out. It was a lot of fun and occupied many hours of imaginary play that is so important in growing up. When I saw the paper doll stamp set I knew that I had to have it even though I do not have any children. Well one night I had a lot of fun with the stamp set. The series of pictures shows the dresser, dresser opened up with the paper doll stored on top, the dresser drawers with clothes in each one. I made the dresser with the Cricut Artiste cartridge by making a series of match boxes and then making a dresser around the matchbox drawers so they would stay in place! I am entering the paper doll, clothes and dresser in the Sweet Stampin’ Challenge – Oh So Girly!

I had a lot of fun making the paper doll, making the outfits and coloring the outfits and making the dresser to keep the paper doll outfits stored properly. What do you think of this project? Do you know any little girls that I could make one ? I would love to see a little girl’s eyes light up.

Heart 2 Heart Egg-Cited Too!

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail.  Hippity, hoppity, Easter’s on its way….

Easter is early this year, Sunday 31 March so its time to get hopping on  projects, gather supplies into the crafting basket and hatch some fun Easter projects  this week because Heart 2 Heart challenge is SO EGG-CITED for EASTER!   The Design Team broke out the bright spring colors, the bunnies, the chicks and the eggs to help you catch the EGG-CITEMENT too! When I was a little girl friends across the street were from the Urkraine and I always remember the fancy eggs  at Easter time. I decided to make an egg and decorated it with blue Flower Soft to create a soft feel and look to the egg! I decorated the top, middle and bottom with some 3D flowers. I hope you remember the true spirit of Resurrection Sunday while enjoying the brightly colored eggs and flowers of the early spring season.

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail.  Hippity, hoppity, Easter’s on its way….

Easter is early this year, Sunday 31 March so its time to get hopping on projects, gather supplies into the crafting basket and hatch some fun Easter projects  this week! At Heart 2 Heart this week the team is looking for projects with bright spring colors, the bunnies, the chicks and the eggs to help you catch the EGG-CITEMENT! At Simply Create Too this week for challenge # 33 they are looking for Easter or bunnies. At Cut It Up this week it is lions and lambs using a die cut. These little treat containers were so fun and easy to make for the spring holiday season and perfect for  these challenges using the Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut everything.  I hope you enjoy these little Easter containers. Our Daily Bread and Twist of Faith

This week at Our Daily Bread the challenge is that spring has sprung. At Twist of Faith this week it is to celebrate Easter. What a beautiful time of year to see the Lord’s flowers and butterflies rise from the Earth just like our Lord who rose after three days! As many of you know I love butterflies and love to photograph butterflies. Butterflies are the wings of God flying all over to check our beautiful world out every day! I enjoyed working with the Butterfly Corner stamp from Our Daily Bread in the creation of this card! I have started working on learning to make realistic 3D flowers. This card features two daisies which are a common flower that the butterflies visit in my gardens. The middle of the daisies have a pinch of Flower Soft in them. I hand colored the butterfly that is popped on the card with CTMH alcohol makers. What do you think of the daisies? Happy Resurrection Day to all my Christian sisters and brothers!

Cards in Envy and Mojo Monday

Cards in Envy this time is to make  a card using  Paper Strips instead of ribbon!  Remember,  Cards in Envy is for cards that fit into a regular first class postage envelope.  The most common size being the A2 (5.5 inch x 4.25 inch) OR a square card ( 5 inch x 5 inch or SMALLER).  And please remember no lumpy bumpy embellishments.  A good rule of thumb is–only one layer on foam tape, no buttons on foam tape, flatter flowers (paper flowers are good), no rosettes, no super thick buttons or brads, etc.  If all layers and embellishments together are thicker than 1/4 inch then it’s not a card for Cards in Envy.   The Mojo Monday challenge this week fits perfectly with the Cards in Envy challenge. The sketch for Mojo Monday is

Heart 2 Heart – We mustache your to join!

What’s one of the hottest trends in the crafting world today?  Mustaches!  Of course, many of the trends we see in the crafting world originate in the fashion world, and this one may be no exception.  Mustaches are everywhere!  Just do a Google search.  There’s mustaches on candy, straws, t-shirts, glasses, hats, mugs, jewelry and so much more. The Heart 2 Heart challenge is to make something that includes a mustache. I played with page 67 of the Cricut Artiste cartridge and came up with my take on the challenge. I created an outside card holder for the “ticket” inside. The card holder says movie night with a mustache with all images coming from page 67. The “ticket” inside has a question with a mustache and a picture. Looking at this picture do you know what the answer is for the picture? The answer is found on the other side of the “ticket!” It was a fun and very easy project to create. This could be used for date night outs, developing a children’s question and answer board to help with critical school material or could be tied into by placing on a front of a card with a movie pass inside! The possibilities are endless for page 67 of Cricut Artiste cartridge!

So after looking at the picture do you know the answer? The answer reads “The legendary comedian used to paint on his crazy mustache, but eventually grew one in himself and kept it for most of his life. You know those all-in-one fake glasses, nose, and mustache sets you can buy at joke shops? Yeah, they’re based on ol’ Groucho. His ‘stache is that legendary. Any comedians who use the mustache for their comedy owe it all to Groucho Marx.”

What do you think of this simple card complete with three mustaches?
