Color My Heart – Dream Pop

This week at Color My Heart I hope you join us to make a card with the new CTMH Dream Pop that was purchased during the month of May. This is the wonderful set of owl cards I made with a holder with the CTMH Dream Pop paper and the CTMH Constant Campaign stamp from January 2013 that was used for the Valentine Day Treat Tube containers. This is a very fun set of cards to make and wrap in this easy to use card holder. I hope you will join us at Color My Heart this week.

Heart 2 Heart – Nip and Tuck

This week at the Heart 2 Heart challenge sewing real or faux has to be included on the card. I used one of my favorite CTMH retired stamp sets on the front of the card from the Find Your Style set. I included a faux dry embossed row of cross stitches to the left of stamped image. When you open the gate fold card You discover I used the new CTMH Puns stamp set with the sewing machine and hand wrapped to bobbins with baker’s twine for my sewing! I hope you enjoy the card. I used CTMH slate ink to compliment the CTMH Avonlea paper to give it a soft look and not the stark look of black or a real dark ink.

Heart 2 Heart Creature Feature

I strongly support local read programs for children where I live by using India greyhound and Gina whippet who are Therapy Dogs International therapy dogs and READ (reading education assistance dogs). The girls participate with me in local read programs at schools and libraries. After a child reads with the girls they always receive a book mark with a picture of the dog that they have read a book. Some of these children visit again and again from month to month. I decided I needed to change things up a little bit and made this project for the Heart 2 Heart Creature Challenge and as one of the things that participants at my upcoming Dream Pop parties can make for children and grandchildren. I have included a series of pictures of the bookmarks and bookmark canister that feature a variety of creatures. The canister features the owl cut out of the Dream Pop paper. I used the CTMH canvas letters and colored them with one of the CTMH alcohol pens. I used a variety of four Paradise CTMH baker twine colors on the canister, cover to the canister and the book marks to give them a festive look. The elephant on the canister top and tag are cut out from the Dream Pop paper. The read that appears on the canister top is from the CTMH glitter alphabet. The bookmarks all feature Dream Pop paper with the tops of the bookmarks punched out with the CTMH 1 1/4 inch circle punch and the 2 inch scallop punch. There are a total of six bookmarks in the canister that feature a dog, owl, cat, fish, frog and bird features on a variety of CTMH stamps. The animals are stamped in CTMH Lagoon ink. I have included a series of pictures of the project including close ups of the canister and bookmarks. I am anxious to hear from you about what you think of this project. It was a lot of fun to make! Do you think the children will like picking out one of these bookmarks?

Have a wonderful day and take an hour to help a child to read!

CAS(E) this Sketch!

The time at CAS(E) this Sketch I used this sketch to create bubbles for the fish on the card. I used a CTMH stamp set and added clear sparkles for the bubbles on the card. I did a mirror image of the sketch that was provided for the challenge. I like the message on the stamp as it fits so well with the upcoming summer season and graduation season. Hope all is well with you. Thanks for stopping by. As always, I enjoy reading your comments and suggestions.

CASE Study

This week at CASE Study there is a sketch to use for inspiration. The colors are unique and add a lot tp the images created. I created the card with CTMH Hloocyhock, Honey and Lagoon ink. I cut out Thank You with the Cricut Artiste and added a hat pin from CTMH As Always assortment. Would you like to receive this thank you note?

CASology, Addicted to CAS and Inkspirational

I had a lot of fun making this CAS card. I liked how the flower and leaves stood out with the use of CTMH Cranberry and Pear pigment ink. I added a row of pearls to the bottom of the card and tied a matching ribbon around the cardstockDSC00710. The red theme is continued with the background cardstock. What do you think?

Have a blessed week! As always I appreciate your feedback and comments.

Rose Blossom Garden – Birthday Girl Cricut Artiste and Cut It Up challenge

The Rose Blossom Garden challenge this time is to use the Birthday Girl button (page 69). I made a mini album for this project and used Artiste 3 and Card options. This time at the Cut It Up Challenge it is to make a mini with a die cut!. I thought this mini albumn worked nicely for both challenges. The mini album uses CTMH Dream Pop, CTMH Seam Ribbon and five 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches envelopes. I cut the top off the envelopes. The envelop sleeves CTMH Dream Pop cardstock with Daisy White cardstock added to the second side that can be used for journaling or the addition of a picture. The other side of each envelope is decorated with a variety of CTMH Dream Pop papers and tags. The mini album is tied together with CTMH Colonial White Seam Binding Ribbon. I have included several pictures of the project and wonder what you think of the album.

Have a blessed day! As always I greatly appreciate your feedback and comments.DSC00714 DSC00715 DSC00716 DSC00717 DSC00721 DSC00722 DSC00723 DSC00724

Heart 2 Heart – Flowers

This week at the Heart 2 Heart challenge we are to have flowers on the card! I had fun with this card. I started by braiding CTMH Colonial White Seam Ribbon in a wreath shape. I added a bow and small pearls to the wreath. I made flowers with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and added three pearls to the flat shaped flowers. I made the leaves with the Cricut Artiste cartridge and made them realistic by adding the etching of the leaf. I used an embossing folder to dry emboss the white cardstock. This card is to hon all veterans past and present. Both my parents are WWII veterans.
